Why do very young girls these days dress like they are woman?
What is with 12-15 year old girls these days dressing like they are 17+? Short dresses, low cut tops, tiny shorts. Are their parents actually letting them out of the house like this?
When I was growing up young girls dressed like their age.. a child! But today they are getting sexualised at a much younger age and I think its wrong that the parents let them leave the house like this. We all know how beautiful a young woman can be but at this age it is just wrong to be dressing like this! Who else agrees with me? I'm a 25 y/old male btw.
I believe a lot of this is result from media pressure. Every where, magazines, TV, billboards, etc. are pressuring young girls to look sexy. Be thin, wear more "attractive" clothes, etc. to get a good reputation, popularity, boys to like them, and so on. It also playes in to the low self esteem that is popular among girls in that age range. I am a 15 year old girl, and I am constantly disgusted by the vulgar clothing choices of some girls at my school. I fully agree and with these girls understood that you can be beautiful, without getting slutty. You can still look fashionable, too. Booty shorts and low cut, see through, tops are not all the rage in any fashion magazine these days. I consider myself very fashionable, but I always use my clothes to express my style, not my body.
