Where can I purchase monogrammed items with Cyrillic characters?
A friend is getting married, and I would like to purchase a personalized item for him. Since he is Russian, I thought it would be nice to purchase something with his name in the Cyrillic alphabet, either a monogram or a last name - engraved or embroidered.
Anyone know of a store in the Midwest that does this, or an American website (US or Canada)? Thanks!
I should mention that my DH is fluent in Russian, so it is not a matter of putting my friend's name in the right characters, but finding someone who can handle the actual personalization of an item.
Usually in the US Russian products are found in Russian stores. If you happen to have one in your area it might be a good idea to check it out. Most of them sell only food. However, you might find information about other Russian products and services there. You can also talk to owners and ask if they can refer you to right direction.
It would be rather hard to find a product with Russian writing or monograms on it. Typically you would find nesting dolls, jewelry boxes, broaches, paintings... It would have to be a special order. Check out these websites, you might be able to find some products you like or get more ideas:
